Also, Miss Southeast Texas 2010 Erin Nipper will be visiting the patients at the Texas Children's Hospital in Houston. She is also be speaking at the University of Houston's Dance Marathon to raise money for the Children's Miracle Network. |
The
Miss Southeast Texas Scholarship Pageant is an official local preliminary
pageant to the Miss Texas and the
Miss America Scholarship Pageant.
The pageant was held on December 19, 2009, at North Shore Senior High School.
The title of Miss Teen Southeast Texas 2010 and Miss Southeast Texas 2010 will be awarded. Two panels of 7 judges scored both Teen and Miss contestants in 5 different categories: private interview (25%), talent (35%), lifestyle and fitness (15%) [Miss - swimsuit; Teen - aerobic wear], evening wear (20%), and onstage questioning (5%); the highest and lowest scores for each contestant in the separate categories will be dropped. The young ladies in both divisions with the highest overall score became the new title holders.
Miss Southeast Texas 2010 will receive over $5000.00 in cash scholarship, awards, and gifts. She also has the opportunity of competing at the Miss Texas Scholarship Pageant in July 2010 in Arlington, Texas.
Miss Teen Southeast Texas 2010 will be awarded over $2000.00 in cash scholarship, awards, and gifts. She, too, will compete at the Miss Teen Texas Scholarship Pageant in July 2010 in Arlington, Texas.
The Miss Contestant Category will be eligible to compete with a donation of $100.00 to the Children's Miracle Network and the Teen Contestant Category is ONLY $100.00 entry fee.
This year will definitely be a wonderful experience and a rewarding year!!
